Our Story

Creative Educational Concepts (CEC) is a full-service, Kentucky-based corporation founded in 2000 that offers extensive experience in live and web-based continuing medical education activities.

Located in Lexington, KY, CEC has a strong commitment to enhance the quality and integrity of continuing education activities. CEC was among the first 15 entities in the U.S. to achieve Joint Accreditation™ as a provider of continuing education from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). A leading model for interprofessional collaborative practice, Joint Accreditation™ distinguishes the standards for education providers to deliver continuing education planned “by the healthcare team for the healthcare team.”

In May of 2021, CE Concepts became part of KnowFully Learning Group, a leading provider of continuing professional education and exam preparation courses to the healthcare and financial services sectors. By joining KnowFully, CEC will be able to expand its reach across healthcare professionals and also its breadth of high-impact continuing education for healthcare professionals in all stages of their careers.

Advocacy Efforts for
the Value of Continuing
Medical Education

CEC has long held the belief and position that accredited CME plays a vital and under-appreciated role in America’s healthcare system. Now more than ever, the need for CME organizations to represent and promote the interests of CME among the nation’s policymakers is crucial. Given this, CEC is proud to be a contributing member of the CME Coalition (www.cmecoalition.org). By pooling the support of academics, practitioners, companies and institutions, the Coalition works to protect CME by educating federal policy makers on issues related to the provision of CME, monitoring state policy initiatives that could adversely impact CME, and advocating for sensible federal and state policies to advance its practice.
